We’re thrilled to re-open and to be able to train in-person. Creating a safe training environment is something we can all do for each other. Please read the following:
Face Mask and Self-Screening
Anyone entering the Centre must wear a face mask.
Students ages 9 and up are required to wear a mask throughout their training. Students ages 8 and under are strongly encouraged to do so.
It is recommended to use a face covering to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19 when physical distancing and keeping two-metres’ distance from others may be challenging or not possible.
All students and staff are required to self-screen for symptoms of or exposure to Covid-19 before entering the Centre each day. Temperature will also be checked before entering.
Physical Distancing
Class size and visitors in the Centre at one time will be limited in line with municipal standards. We ask that anyone with administrative/front desk requests to please book a time to meet with our office staff in advance.
All in-person classes will have a defined set-up to allow physical distancing. Participants are required to sign-up in advance to secure spot. Lateness or casual drop-ins will not be permitted. Due to limited availability, no shows will be subject to a $30+HST fee.
We ask that students do not arrive 10 minutes prior the start of class.
We ask parents to bring students to the front door and to collect their students also at the front door. There will be a staff assigned at the front door for start and end of class times to ensure student safety. Parents, family, or friends will need to wait outside. Our viewing area is temporarily closed. Classes can be viewed online.
Cleanliness, Sanitation and Centre Modification
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the academy.
We ask that you bring your own water bottle. Use of water fountain will be restricted.
Please consider arriving at the facility dressed in workout attire, as use of our changing rooms will be restricted.
All members must bring their own equipment (gloves, gis, handwraps, etc.) in order to participate. Trial equipments will not be provided.
Between classes, any equipment/mat space used will be sanitized. High-touched areas will be cleaned frequently.
Take these everyday steps to reduce exposure to the virus and protect your health:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizer • Sneeze and cough into your sleeve
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth • Avoid contact with people who are sick
• Stay home and self-isolate if you are sick
• Stay at least two metres away from anyone outside your social bubble
